12 days later..

  • There is still roof missing over my kitchen.
  • Daily I am amazed at the amount of gallons of water my large buckets capture when I am at work.
  • The Landlady sent a roof guy who came by himself with no ladder and no crew who only looked at the roof from the ground and saw exactly this. He promised to come back the following day while I was at work and fix it from the outside but alas it has been two days and everyday I come home to full buckets in my kitchen. I could have emailed him the picture and it would have saved him a trip.. at least I enjoyed that day when I worked from home.
11 days later election coverage still takes up 95% of the local news and I am tired of it. It could be something as insignificant as a cow missing and then it will turn it into a political issue with both sides accusing each other. Was there no other news before this whole mess? I wasn't planning on going to work on election day, next week Monday... hopefully things won't be too bloody.

Imagine when you work with a media house. :( and you worked on the election website. the whole thing is kinda funny though. comments they make. the cartoons from las may (gleaner) and clovis (observer) are hilarious. thats my fav thing out of the elections. I hope this one isn't bloody though.

This election stuff is getting on my nerves. Every 15mins or so you hear some form of campaign ad on the radio .... is not like you can change the station to try and hide from it!!!

@Fiyah : It seems to rain everyday in the afternoon. Sometimes hard sometimes a light shower. Either way...it rains :-(

if i was a politician, i would probably run more ads than the current parties run to brainwash people into voting for me and I would be proud if people complained because then i know chances are enough voting citizens are hearing my ads as well. But I would do a lot of market research to see if I couldn't make more effective ads. For most things they're are two sides.

more ads? not possible.. 90% of the ads on tv and radio are either PNP or JLP ads already.. the newspaper is full of them as well.

@CP.. I called him this morning, he says he hasn't been back because it rains everyday. that is why I need him to come back the most! anyway, I won't see any bill/estimate from him thankfully, that is landlady responsibility. :D
