Holocost movies

I think the first Holocaust movie I watched was 'The pianist' a few years ago. I don't remember much about it but I remember that I liked it very much. Recently I started watching the HBO series Band of Brothers and my interest on that time in history awoke again. Since then I have watched:

  • Valkyrie
  • The boy in striped pyjamas
  • Schindler's list
I've always heard about Schindler's list, never saw it on cable before though. It's a shame that I only recently when looking for it 15 years later. That's about 14 hours of movies/tv series on the second world war and the Holocaust. It is a bit much but I'd recommend all of them in a heartbeat.

Add this to your list, 'The devils Arithmetic'. I'm a history buff, so every now and then i go searching for movies that speak to a particular timeframe.

Life is beautiful has a sort of positive note to it that you might like. There's all the horror, but it's nice to watch from the POV of a character with a lot of guts, bravado, and cleverness

I have seen a few, very few, Holocaust movies, and also a few documentaries. They show wicked and callous humans can be.

Band of Brothers is good, they complain alot but the stories from the veterans at the start of each series is pretty nice.
Ok, Add "Hannibal Rising" to you list

Owen, Hannibal Rising only attacks maybe 15 minutes of Holcust history. Its not about that.

You are nitpicking! There is snow, there is germany and germans soliders in the snow. what more does a movie need to qualify as a Holocost movie?

Schindler's List is one of the greatest movies ever made. I hate holocaust movies because of what they portray, the heartless wickedness of men who thought they were better than others. Ugh.
